Norwegian Escape Comes to New York

1/35

1/17

The Norwegian Escape (one of the newest ships in the Norwegian cruise line) has found herself a new home port in New York City. The 165 thousand ton ship can hold a little over 4,000 travelers. I was privileged enough to take a tour of the Escape before it sailed away on its next destination. Upon exploring the ship you realize the Escape has a good number of activities that set her apart from other ships.

Some of these activities are attractions such as the ropes course, the aqua park, and the snow room. If the warm beautiful weather isn’t your style then you can literally “chill out” in this simulated arctic atmosphere. This ice cold room will stimulate blood circulation throughout the body. Dare to walk the plank? On the Escape it is now possible! While harnessed on to a zip-line you can walk out on the plank and view one of the best sights available on the Escape. Not into walking planks to get that beautiful view? Well Norwegian has you covered, you can zip line over the ocean at 136ft above! The aqua park on the top deck also has something for everyone, including a park for the kids as well! The most popular slide the “Aqua Racer” is a free falling water slide where the floor will give out from underneath and off you go. If you are looking to relax there are many pools and Jacuzzis for you.

Aside from these unique activities, you have everything from shopping, casino, spa, bars and lounges. The Escape has 25 different dining experiences. There’s just so much for me to put into just a few short paragraphs about the Escape, it’s something that you have to explore for yourself.
