Summary

One of the most amazing places I have ever visited was Cambodia. It was a really long flight to get there but was certainly worth it. Upon my arrival at the airport in Siem Reap, we got our visas very quickly, and met our driver to take us to our hotel. We stayed at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra golf and spa resorts. This was truly one of the nicest resorts I have ever stayed in. I would go back again again if the flight wasn't so long! The Cambodia people are so gracious and welcoming. They want you to enjoy their country to the fullest. Of course, the highlight was visiting Angkor Wat. This is the biggest temple in the world and a Unesco World Heritage Site. We went to Angkor Tom, Ta Phom and Bayon. Pictures really don't do this place justice. It is one of those things you must actually see and experience for yourself. -Lisa Burcher

Popular Cambodian Destinations

When most people think of Cambodia the first thing that usually comes to mind are the temples of Angkor Wat. This magnificent structure was constructed during the 12th century by Suryavarman II. Tours are readily available to experience this wonder for one's self. The question is often asked, "how"? How did a civilization 9 centuries ago create Angkor Wat with such detail and symmetry? As one of the worlds most religious structures, the beauty is best experienced in person.

The Southern Islands of Cambodia can be found off the coast line of Sihanoukville. Many islands reside here but the one that stands out among them all is Koh Rong Sanloem. Koh Rong Sanloem is lush with jungles, beaches, bays and hide away resorts.
