About Travel By Lisa

Lisa's Story

I was bitten by the travel bug at a young age! I completed travel school in October 1988. Afterward, I immediately started working at Kingdom Tours in Kingston, Pennsylvania. Kingdom Tours was a wholesale company specializing in vacations to Disney, Florida Beaches, Las Vegas, San Diego, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Nassau, the Bahamas. It was a great experience learning about this end of the travel business. It would serve me well later in my travel years.

In 1994, I decided to try retail travel. I worked at a fantastic agency called Absolute Travel. While there, I really learned how to be a travel agent. I had some outstanding teachers who taught me well. In 1995, I started working at AAA North Penn in the Scranton office. I worked in the Scranton office for a couple of years. After having my son in 1997, I transferred to the Honesdale branch. Working at AAA North Penn for over 22 years.

In February 2018, I decided to venture out and open "Travel by Lisa." Since, I have been so fortunate to travel to some fantastic places like England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Liechtenstein, Turkey, Greece, Monte Carlo, Mexico, Iceland, Peru, Australia, New Zealand, Cambodia, Vietnam and several islands  throughout the Caribbean. I have been to many places here in the United States too. Hawaii, Alaska, California, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, and Florida just to name a few. I have done Ocean cruises in Europe, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, and the Caribbean. With having traveled to all these places I found that I can share my experiences with clients of Travel by Lisa.

Navigating the maze of travel planning can be as challenging as it is exciting. Fortunately, I'm here to transform your travel dreams into reality. Perhaps you'll choose to embark on a Seine River cruise, where you'll witness the heart of Paris, with landmarks like Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, while also paying homage to the sacrifices made for freedom on the beaches of Normandy. If traveling by water isn't your style, the rich mosaic of Europe awaits, with its vibrant cities and ancient tales. Down under, the contrasting landscapes of Australia beckon, from coral reefs to desert plains, while New Zealand's dramatic scenery provides a sanctuary for nature lovers and adventurers alike. Each destination presents its own unique story, leaving you with experiences that will last a lifetime.
