In October 2021, I had the opportunity to travel to France. Since this was during Covid, we had extra paperwork and Covid tests to complete. Once upon arrival, we headed right to the Eiffel Tower. The last time I was in Paris, it was all open underneath the tower. Now, it is surrounded by Plexiglass, and you must wait in lines to check your vaccination cards and go through X-ray security. We chose to walk up the Eiffel Tower because there were no lines. It was a fun time and a fantastic view!
We then were ready to board our ship, the AmaWaterways AmaLyra traveling on the Seine River. AmaWaterways is an excellent river cruise experience. We had beautiful stops at the Chateau Gaillard, Honfleur, the US landing beaches at Normandy, Rouen, and Monet's home and gardens at Giverny. Then we did a night sail-by of the Eiffel tower at the very end to see the lights. This was such a fantastic trip!
